Two arms hold a fork and plate of spaghetti against a grey background

SmartSinner NTA but this sounds like one of those recurring couple fights that's not really about spaghetti. It's about control and compromise. You're already offering options, he just doesn't like that you won't bend completely
  • 16
East-Action8811 He can make his own damn meals is what I'd tell him.
  • 17
United-Manner20 NTA but this fight isn't about spaghetti. Your glossing over the fact that he said cooking for your man. He is a grown adult. They can cook his own meal if he doesn't want what you're making. It is not your responsibility to cook his meals to his liking. Your son is learning how to be a man from this person. His views on how you should treat a wife and his views on what a partnership should look like our shaping how you're raising your son.

Background-Key-1088 NTA. Your fiancé sounds like a child. Think long and hard about whether you really want to marry this guy.

1 Kflowers God, this sounds exhausting. Is your fiance your son's father? If so that complicates things, but IMO the bottom line is, if an adult partner doesn't like what you cooked, they can cook something else they like better. No, you're ΝΤΑ.

OkManufacturer 767 Has he always been so insufferable? And immature? NTA

CoDaDeyLove Two out of three people in the household love spaghetti. He can have a sandwich. My partner loves grilled mackeral and I hate it. He often cooks some just for himself and I make something else. I agree that this argument is rooted in something deeper. He wants everything his way and isn't being flexible. If you want to make spaghetti for yourself and your child, your fiance can fix something else. Even a peanut butter sandwich. He needs to grow up.

Maleficent_Scale_296 Like life isn't hard enough without some whining man child. I'll bet he expects intimacy after this behavior too. That must be hot.
  • 24
Desperate ToNotDream It's not about the spaghetti. It's about you not catering to his whims like he demands

SarcasticAnd My daughter hates red sauce too. When I make spaghetti noodles, she puts butter, garlic and parm on hers, all by herself. She is 11. NTA. Your bf is acting less mature than my literal child.
